1. Your agreement
Glowboard is developed by Vonzen. These terms apply to your use of the Glowboard app and this website. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using them. For questions about this agreement, email vonzenappstudio@gmail.com.
You must be able to enter this agreement under the law that applies to you. If you are a minor, use Glowboard with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian where required. Purchases also require any authorisation required by Apple and your local law.
2. The app and its licence
Glowboard turns your text into an on-screen LED banner or large-text display. It includes editing and playback controls, templates, a local library, supported sound-reactive effects and media export. Availability depends on the installed version, device, permissions and purchase status. This website provides product information, a browser-based banner preview, legal information and contact links. The web preview illustrates selected effects and does not provide the native app’s full rendering, purchase or export functionality.
For an App Store download, the licence supplied with the app applies, including Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement when no custom licence is supplied. These terms describe the service and supplement the applicable app licence. They do not replace Apple’s purchase rules or rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
You receive permission to use the app on supported devices you own or control within that licence. Ownership of the app’s code, interface, brand and supplied assets does not transfer to you. Open-source components and other third-party materials remain subject to their respective licences.
3. Your content and conduct
You retain the rights you already hold in the messages and media you create or import. Glowboard does not claim ownership of your banner text or require you to grant us a licence to publish it. You are responsible for the content you display, export or share and for having the permissions needed to use it.
Do not use Glowboard to infringe copyright, trademarks or privacy; harass or threaten others; impersonate someone deceptively; display unlawful material; or interfere with another person’s safety. Respect venue rules, public-display restrictions and the rights of people whose names or other information you include.
Do not bypass paid-feature checks or platform protections, introduce harmful code, access systems without authorisation or misuse purchase services. Restrictions on copying, resale, sublicensing and reverse engineering are those in the applicable app licence, subject to any exceptions required by law.
Glowboard is a local creation tool, not a public content-hosting or messaging service. We do not review every message on your device. If material supplied by Glowboard itself raises a rights concern, contact us with the relevant template or asset, an explanation of the issue and information showing your authority to make the request.
4. Music and exported media
Only import music or other files you have the right to use. Being able to open a file does not give you the right to reproduce it, include it in a video, distribute it or use it commercially. Pro access does not supply rights to music you import.
Bundled music is provided under its applicable licences for supported use with the app. It is not an unrestricted music catalogue, and the app does not grant ownership of those recordings. Do not extract, sell or distribute supplied tracks as standalone audio. Any public or commercial use must remain within the relevant licence and other applicable rights.
Supported MP4 exports can include your selected background music; GIF files have no audio. Microphone-reactive playback does not create a microphone recording for export. Export results may vary with the format, resolution, text, effects, file compatibility and device resources. Check the output before publishing or relying on it.
Saving to Photos or sharing through another app is your choice. The receiving platform’s rules also apply, including any rules on music, privacy and content. Glowboard cannot guarantee that a platform will accept an export or leave it available.
5. Safe use
Bright or flashing displays can cause discomfort and can be unsuitable for people who are sensitive to flashing light. Choose effects appropriate for yourself and people nearby, and stop using an effect if it causes discomfort. A reduced flash rate or safety setting is not a guarantee that an effect is suitable for everyone.
Full-screen playback can raise screen brightness and keep the device awake; the app attempts to restore its playback changes on exit. Long playback or export can use battery power and produce heat. Adjust brightness and duration to the conditions and follow your device’s temperature warnings.
Use the app only when it is safe and lawful to look at or handle your device. Do not let a banner distract you or other people while driving or performing tasks that need attention. Glowboard is not an emergency signal, accessibility aid with guaranteed performance, or safety-critical communications system.
6. Free features and Pro
The app includes free functionality and may offer optional Pro access to additional effects, customisation, export settings or other features. The purchase screen describes what the available plan includes. The plan, price, billing period and any introductory offer shown in Apple’s confirmation sheet govern the purchase you authorise. Do not assume that an example price or a feature preview is a purchase offer.
A preview of a Pro effect does not establish paid access. Pro access depends on a verified eligible purchase or entitlement. A cancelled, pending or failed transaction may not unlock features. Purchase verification and restoration may require an internet connection and a working connection to Apple and RevenueCat; your network provider’s charges may apply.
If a non-renewing or lifetime option is offered, it is a single payment for the Pro access described with that product, rather than an auto-renewing subscription. It does not promise new unrelated products or indefinite operation of every external service. Rights attached to an existing purchase and mandatory consumer protections remain applicable.
7. Subscriptions and refunds
Apple processes payment through your Apple account. An auto-renewing subscription renews under the conditions shown by Apple unless you cancel it. A trial or introductory offer is available only if Apple and the purchase service determine that you are eligible. When a trial ends, the applicable paid subscription can begin unless cancelled under those conditions.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Apple advises cancelling an unwanted trial at least 24 hours before it ends; see Apple’s cancellation instructions for current steps and regional rules. Deleting Glowboard, closing its paywall or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation does not automatically create a refund.
Use Restore Purchases in the app to check eligible past purchases associated with the relevant Apple account. Restoring purchases does not restore locally stored banners or imported files. Refund requests for App Store purchases go through Apple’s refund process; eligibility depends on Apple’s rules and applicable law. Nothing here limits a refund or other remedy that the law requires.
8. Local data and privacy
Banners, recent messages, imported music copies and preferences are kept locally. Keep any copies or backups you need. Uninstalling the app, deleting its data or losing the device may make local work unavailable. Some app data may be included in Apple device backups; imported music copies are excluded. A purchase record is not a backup of your work.
The Privacy policy explains microphone processing, Photos permission, local export, support correspondence, PostHog usage events and Apple/RevenueCat purchases. Permissions are requested for the relevant features and can be changed in system settings. We do not provide a Glowboard account that you need to close when you stop using the app.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Glowboard useful, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free exports or identical results on every device. System updates, hardware limits, permissions, file formats and independent purchase services can affect the app. To the extent permitted by law, the app and website are supplied as available and subject to the warranties and limitations in the applicable app licence.
We may update the app and these terms as the product develops. A feature mentioned in development materials is not a guarantee that it is available in your installed version. Changes do not remove mandatory legal protections or override rights arising from an existing purchase. Material changes to these terms will receive notice as required by law, and the revised date will appear on this page.
You can stop using Glowboard at any time. Any recurring subscription must be cancelled separately through Apple. Your app-use licence may end in the circumstances specified in that licence, including a material breach; provisions and obligations that legally need to continue will continue.
10. Your rights and support
These terms do not exclude liability, warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Applicable law determines your consumer rights and available remedies; nothing here requires you to waive mandatory protections in your place of residence.
For an app issue, purchase-access problem or rights complaint, email vonzenappstudio@gmail.com with a description and the information needed to investigate. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary private content. We will use that correspondence as described in the Privacy policy and work with you to address matters within our control.
